The Jogger

After leaving our cat Garfield out for his morning trot, I saddled up the camera gear and headed down to the River Suir Blueway. The Blueway is a thirty three mile expedition to be undertaken by either foot, cycle or canoe. Starting in Cahir, it encompasses the towns of Clonmel, Kilsheelan and rounds off in Carrick-on-Suir.

On arrival at Mulcahy Park, the sun and fog were barely rising. Both appeared content to share the landscape, with the sun’s rays seemingly gladdened to disperse an enormous amount of leeway to the prevailing dense fog.

Thoroughly overcome by the conditions that would epitomise the perfect landscape image, you can imagine my horror that as I clicked the shutter button, a jogger came into view. I was photobombed!

I waited until he had passed to retake the image as I believed the shot to have been ruined. To my bewilderment at home, while sifting through the day’s gains, I was pleasantly surprised that The Jogger made the photo what it is.
